On the invitation to the Marios Schwab show was printed the golden ratio; the mathematical equation whose perfect balance is a symbol of perfect beauty. Schwab incorporated this into his collection; a perfect balance between being drawn to the clothes and at the same time being torn away - the geometric shapes and chiffon overlays were undeniably beautiful (I particulary enjoyed the experimental black necklines, and the sheer overlay on the cocktail dresses paired with fishtail effect), but the Schwab woman holds an air of mystery. According to Schwab though this was the aim; his starting point for the collection was Marlene Dietrich and her loneliness. Well, come fall the Schwab woman may be lonely, but she'll be super stylish.
